James Pilcher BSc (Hons) FRICS
Chairman and Director

Chairman James Pilcher is a Kentish Man who qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1983, having studied at Reading University in Berkshire.  He spent time at The British Rail Property Board in London then moved to Kent, joining Cobbs, which later became GA Property Services.  James was one of twelve ex-GA Directors who founded Caxtons in 1990.  He is now primarily involved in commercial property, with particular expertise in the investment and management fields.

Neil Chatterton BSc MRICS
Managing Director

Neil Chatterton is Managing Director of Caxtons and is based in the Kent Thameside office in Gravesend.  Neil qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1989 having previously gained a degree in Estate Management from Portsmouth Polytechnic and he specialises in Commercial property, in particular management, professional and investment work.

Sarah Potter BSc (Hons) MRICS
Associate Director

Sarah originates from London and moved to Kent in 1975. In 1992 Sarah joined Caxtons where she studied and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006. Sarah was appointed Associate Director in July 2008 and is predominantly a property management surveyor but is also involved in acquisitions and other associated professional work.

Tosin Odunukan BSc (Hons) PGDip MRICS
Surveyor

Born in the Midlands and raised in the UK and Nigeria, Tosin has a BSc (Hons) Degree in Estate Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Property Development and Planning. Tosin joined Caxtons in 2002 and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006. She specialises in Commercial Property - in particular management and professional work.

Mark Coxon
Director

Mark studied for an Estate Management degree at the University of Greenwich and trained with Mathews and Goodman in London before workong client side with Frontier Estates, one of the Palmer Capital Group of property developers. Latterly he was made a Partner at Cushman and Wakefield dealing with industrial distribution / logistics throughout the UK.  Mark joined Caxtons in June 2009 where he is involved with Office and Industrial Agency and development within the Thames Gateway including South East London, South Essex and Kent.

Raymond Amosso BSc MRICS
Associate Director

Having both Scottish and Italian heritage Raymond moved to Kent to work for GA Commercial in the 1980s and stayed. In 1992 he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and joined Caxtons in 1994. Raymond specialises in Commercial property agency work in mid/north Kent and south-east London including selling, letting and purchasing of all manner of retail, office, industrial buildings and land, as well as a variety of other property types.

James Logan BSc (Hons) MRICS
Associate Director

James qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2001 having previously gained a degree in Estate Management from Greenwich University. Prior to joining Caxtons, he worked for Network Rail in London.  James covers all aspects of commercial agency in Canterbury and East Kent.

Jacob Vince MA DBA MRICS
Director

Based at the Heathfield Office, Jacob joined the Caxtons Sussex team in 1996, completing his qualification as a Chartered Surveyor in 1998. Jacob has specialised for 10 years in the appraisal, acquisition and disposal of automotive and roadside premises across the south east region. Jacob is a Church Commissioner and serves on the Church Buildings (Uses and Disposals) Committee.

Graham S Mitchell FRICS MIoD
Director and Head of Professional Services

Caxtons' founder Director Graham Mitchell entered the property profession in 1976, and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1981, and was elected as a Fellow of the RICS in 1989.  Graham was regional director of G A Property Services for the south east of England and a Board member of their subsidiary, Keith Cardale Groves. Graham is Finance Director as well as Head of Caxtons’ Professional Services division.

Charles Oliver BSc MSc FRICS FAAV
Associate Director

Based in Kent all of his life, Charles qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1982 and has a degree in estate management from Reading University, a masters degree in environmental assessment from Greenwich University and is a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.  Charles specialises in Valuations, landlord and tenant negotiations, expert witness reports, compulsory purchase and leasehold enfranchisement valuations.

Chhaya Patel BSc (Hons) MSc
Surveyor

Chhaya completed a post graduate degree in Real Estate Investment and Development and in 2008, took up a graduate position at Caxtons and is currently working towards chartered status.  Chhaya works in the professional department predominantly carrying out commercial valuations and landlord and tenant work (rent reviews and lease renewals) but in addition she undertakes some commercial agency work.

Daniel Thackray BSc (Hons) MRICS
Director

Born in Kent, Dan gained a BSc (Hon's) Degree in Surveying at the UWE, Bristol and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1998. He joined Caxtons to head up their east Kent Valuation & Professional Services department and was appointed a Director of Caxtons in July 2006.  Dan specialises in Commercial and Residential property valuations and development site appraisals as well as commercial Rent Reviews, Lease Renewals and Business Rate appeals.

Ian Bingham BSc MRICS MCIArb
Consultant, Professional Services

Ian qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1985 having gained a degree in Estate Management from South Bank Polytechnic. Prior to joining Caxtons in 2003, he worked for international practice, DTZ Debenham Tie Leung. Ian deals with commercial property professional matters over a wide geographical area, specialising in automotive and roadside property types. He is on the RICS panels of Independent Experts and Arbitrators.

Philip Treveil BA (Hons) MA PGDipSurv
Surveyor

Born and raised in Kent, Phil spent much of his working life as an archaeologist with the Museum of London, supervising excavations in the City of London, Israel, France and the UAE. In 2003 he joined Caxtons carrying out commercial valuations and landlord and tenant work (rent reviews and lease renewals) as well as right-to-buy valuations for local authorities. He is currently working towards chartered status.

David Gurton MIRPM
Director

In 1990, Director David Gurton was one of the founding members of Caxtons Chartered Surveyors. He hails from north Kent where he has worked in property management since the late 1970s. David founded the Block Management department within the firm and he specialises in property management accountancy and residential block management.

Kevin Guthrie MIRPM
Associate Director

Kevin was born and raised in Kent and joined Caxtons on the foundation of the company in 1990. Kevin heads up and has responsibility for the Residential Block Management team of twelve with a management portfolio in excess of 4,000 units. This is now probably the fastest growing department in the Company.

Alan Stewart BSc FRICS MCIArb
Director & Head of Residential Letting & Management

Director Alan Stewart heads the Residential Letting and Management division and runs the company's office in Gillingham.  He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, then joined Walter and Randall Estate Agents in the Medway Towns before qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1981.  He joined Caxtons as a Director in 2001.  A Property Management Surveyor, Alan has a particular focus on commercial properties and multi-tenanted developments.

Duncan Reeves - Associate Director
Head of Residential & Student Lettings, Canterbury

Associate Director Duncan Reeves runs both the Residential and Student Lettings departments in Caxtons' Canterbury office. Born in East Kent, he attended the University of West London as a mature student and joined Caxtons in 1997.  He was appointed Associate Director in 2003.  Duncan has been involved with residential lettings for the past nine years and for eight years has lead the Student Lettings Department.

Philip Burkill FRICS MCLoB MCIArb
Associate Director and Head of Building Consultancy

Philip Burkill, originally of Burkill Johnson, joined Caxtons when the firms amalgamated 2007.  Philip founded the Building Consultancy Department which provides a broad specturm of surveying services associated with the property and building sector.
