Businesses support Milestone Acadamy.

Businesses based at Crossways Business Park went head to head in a mega quiz attended by Mayor Avtar Sandhu on 3rd July. The event was organised by the Dartford Office of Top 50 National Law Firm Weightmans and Chartered Surveyors, Caxtons.

The event raised money for local charity, Milestone Academy, a school serving students with profound, severe and complex needs and strengthen relationships.

David Gurton, Director of Caxtons added: "Caxtons was delighted to be joint host and to sponsor the inaugural 'Crossways Cup'. As one of largest independent property practices in Kent and the South East, we were keen to be able to put something back into the community by raising much needed funds for Milestone Academy. Caxtons also manages Crossways Business Park and we believe that the new competition will help bring a sense of

community to businesses on the Park, an integral development within Kent Thameside which has been identified by the government as a key growth area for the Thames Gateway."

Mark Brenlund, Partner at Weightmans Dartford office said: "With so much business being based on relationships, this event was a creative and fun way for all businesses on the park to engage with each other at a local level. Weightmans takes its responsibility within the community seriously and we were pleased to align with the Mayor's remit for generating business for companies within the region. The fact that our chosen charity will benefit both from increased profile and finances is of equal importance and highlights Weightmans' approach to the Kent and South East region, being one of the areas in which it operates."

The event took place at Hilton Dartford Bridge Hotel.
